Look carefully at the landing zone before committing to a carry. The site's dramatic contours make distance and position equally important, and a sensible tee choice helps keep the challenge enjoyable. Allow time to take in the landscape without losing contact with the group ahead.
Red Mountain Golf Club sits almost dead-center on Phuket Island, in Kathu, on ground that spent decades as a working tin mine before Jonathan Morrow's design team reshaped it into the most dramatically contoured course in Thailand. Rather than bulldozing the mining scars flat, the routing works with them — cliffs cut by decades of storm runoff, flooded canyon pits, and red laterite rock walls all remain in play, which is how the course earned both its name and its reputation as Phuket's hilliest layout.
Since opening in 2007, Red Mountain has become the course golfers name first when asked about Phuket. The back six holes carry the round's real character: sharp elevation changes through dense tropical vegetation lead to the par-3 17th, a downhill tee shot dropping roughly 50 meters to a green tucked in the jungle below — one of the most photographed holes in Thailand, and the reason most groups mention Red Mountain before any other Phuket course. Bermuda greens and Seashore Paspalum fairways keep the playing surfaces fast and true despite the terrain.
The club is owned and operated by MBK Public Co., which also runs Loch Palm Golf Club a short drive away — a useful pairing for anyone building a multi-round Phuket trip (see Section 10).

Before you play
Caddie required. A tip is separate unless your confirmed quotation explicitly includes it.
Tell us your preferred tee time, handicap range and any rental requirements. For a larger group, we can discuss consecutive tee times rather than assuming everyone can play in one flight.
Getting there
Your hotel location matters as much as the destination name. Share the exact pickup point so we can allow for city traffic and the time needed to warm up before your round.
