The playing experience
Choose a tee length that suits your usual game, rather than automatically playing the back markers. Protect the approach angle, leave room for a conservative lay-up and ask your caddie where a missed shot is easiest to recover. For mixed handicaps, different tees can make the same round more enjoyable for everyone.
Blue Canyon Country Club opened its Canyon Course in 1991, the first of two 18-hole layouts Japanese architect Yoshikazu Kato carved from a 720-acre valley of former tin-mining land and rubber plantation in Phuket's Thalang district. It is, by a wide margin, Phuket's most internationally decorated course.
The Canyon Course hosted the Johnnie Walker Classic three times — 1994, 1998, and 2007 — plus the Honda Invitational in 1996 and the Thailand Open in 2005. Its most famous moment came in 1998, when a 22-year-old Tiger Woods entered the final round eight shots behind Ernie Els, shot a closing 65, and won in a sudden-death playoff — a result still cited as one of the defining moments of his early professional career in Asia. More recently, the course hosted the Asian Tour's Blue Canyon Phuket Championship in 2021.
The layout uses the site's canyon walls, freshwater lakes, and elevation changes to create narrow landing zones and forced carries that reward precision over distance — a more traditional, tournament-style test than most Phuket resort courses offer.

Before you play
Caddie required. A tip is separate unless your confirmed quotation explicitly includes it.
Tell us your preferred tee time, handicap range and any rental requirements. For a larger group, we can discuss consecutive tee times rather than assuming everyone can play in one flight.
Getting there
Your hotel location matters as much as the destination name. Share the exact pickup point so we can allow for city traffic and the time needed to warm up before your round.
