Plan a landing area, not just a distance. Where water influences the line of play, a shorter club and a clear target can be more useful than chasing every extra yard. Keep a comfortable carry in mind when choosing tees, and discuss the safest approach with your caddie before committing to the shot.
The Royal Golf & Country Club opened in 1993, designed by Japanese architect Chohei Miyazawa, whose course design portfolio also spans Japan, Korea, and Guam. It sits in Bang Sao Thong, Samut Prakan, close to the Bangkok-Chonburi Motorway and just 15 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport — one of the most convenient championship courses in the city for an arrival or departure round.
Miyazawa built the course to preserve as much of the natural landscape as possible, and it shows: colourful flowering trees and shrubs frame nearly every hole, and canals separate each fairway from the surrounding housing, much of it owned by some of Thailand's most prominent families. The layout is flat, but that's about the only easy thing about it — undulating fairways, tiered greens, and water hazards on virtually every hole demand real course management, and the long par-3 17th, at 230 yards, is one of the toughest single holes in Bangkok.
The greens here are the standout feature — consistently rated among the best-kept and fastest in the city, rolling at over 10 on the stimpmeter year-round. It's not a course for everyone, though: The Royal Golf & Country Club does not permit beginners, and golf carts are compulsory on weekends.

Before you play
Caddie required. A tip is separate unless your confirmed quotation explicitly includes it.
Tell us your preferred tee time, handicap range and any rental requirements. For a larger group, we can discuss consecutive tee times rather than assuming everyone can play in one flight.
Getting there
Your hotel location matters as much as the destination name. Share the exact pickup point so we can allow for city traffic and the time needed to warm up before your round.
