The playing experience
Choose a tee length that suits your usual game, rather than automatically playing the back markers. Protect the approach angle, leave room for a conservative lay-up and ask your caddie where a missed shot is easiest to recover. For mixed handicaps, different tees can make the same round more enjoyable for everyone.
Thai Country Club has been quietly setting the bar for Bangkok golf since it opened in December 1996. American architect Denis Griffiths built the course to genuine USPGA tournament specification, not resort-course polish — and three decades later, that distinction still shows. The club sits in Bang Pakong, Chachoengsao province, just east of the capital along the Bangna-Trad Highway: close enough for a half-day outing, far enough to feel like you've actually left the city behind.
The land here started out dead flat, which makes what Griffiths did with it all the more striking. His routing carved rolling, contoured fairways out of nothing, framed by elevated greens ringed with bunkers, with water coming into play more often than first-timers expect. Miss a fairway and the thick semi-rough won't just cost you a stroke — it'll cost you any real look at the pin.
What truly separates Thai Country Club from its Bangkok peers is its tournament pedigree. Tiger Woods won the 1997 Asian Honda Classic here by ten strokes, closing with a final-round 68. A year later, Vijay Singh took the Johnnie Walker Super Tour on the same fairways. The Volvo Masters of Asia followed from 2005 to 2008, then the Thailand Open in 2017–2019, and the Aramco Team Series in 2022. Courses don't get chosen to host that kind of company by accident — they earn it, round after round.

Tell us your preferred tee time, handicap range and any rental requirements. For a larger group, we can discuss consecutive tee times rather than assuming everyone can play in one flight.
Getting there
Your hotel location matters as much as the destination name. Share the exact pickup point so we can allow for city traffic and the time needed to warm up before your round.
