The playing experience
Choose a tee length that suits your usual game, rather than automatically playing the back markers. Protect the approach angle, leave room for a conservative lay-up and ask your caddie where a missed shot is easiest to recover. For mixed handicaps, different tees can make the same round more enjoyable for everyone.
Alpine Golf & Sports Club opened in 1996 in Pathum Thani, north of Bangkok — American architect Ronald M. Garl's first project in Asia. What Garl did with the site is the whole story: it was flat rice paddy land before construction, and what stands there now is one of the few genuinely hilly, undulating courses anywhere near Bangkok, with elevation changes more commonly seen in Hua Hin or Phuket.
The layout doesn't let up. Fairways wind through jungle-lined corridors that punish anything but a straight drive, water and beach-style bunkers guard much of the course, and the 7th and 11th holes are played to island greens connected to the fairway by only a narrow strip of land. It's a members-only club, with visiting golfers accessing tee times through approved operators rather than walk-up bookings.
Alpine's reputation was cemented by hosting the Johnnie Walker Classic twice, in 2000 and 2004. Tiger Woods won the 2000 edition, eagling the 555-yard par-5 7th on his way to the title — a shot that's still talked about on a hole most golfers are simply relieved to find in regulation.

Tell us your preferred tee time, handicap range and any rental requirements. For a larger group, we can discuss consecutive tee times rather than assuming everyone can play in one flight.
Getting there
Your hotel location matters as much as the destination name. Share the exact pickup point so we can allow for city traffic and the time needed to warm up before your round.
