Siam Country Club Bangkok arrived in 2022 as the fifth course to carry the Siam Country Club name — and the first to plant that flag in Bangkok rather than Pattaya. The design belongs to Toby Cobb, marking his first solo project after years spent working alongside Coore & Crenshaw and Tom Doak. You'll find it in Samut Prakan, just off the Bangna-Trad Highway, roughly 30 to 45 minutes from downtown Bangkok.
Everything about the layout signals a clean break from Bangkok convention. Cobb built on open ground and let it stay that way: wide, rolling fairways, minimal tree cover, and a links-style rhythm rarely seen this far from the coast. The greens are the real story — vast, undulating “turtle-backs” spanning up to 1,000 square metres, sloping hard enough at the edges to punish anything but a precise approach.
The course saves its best trick for last. The par-3 18th plays short but defends itself with a green over 1,000 square metres and a pot bunker deep enough to have earned an irreverent nickname among the caddies. Every golfer here gets their own cart, driven by an assigned caddie — no sharing — a small detail that changes the entire rhythm of the round.
