Plan a landing area, not just a distance. Where water influences the line of play, a shorter club and a clear target can be more useful than chasing every extra yard. Keep a comfortable carry in mind when choosing tees, and discuss the safest approach with your caddie before committing to the shot.
Royal Bang Pa-In Golf Club opened in 2017, one of the newer additions to Bangkok's golf scene and a genuine showcase for Schmidt-Curley Design — the same American firm that redesigned Muang Kaew back in 2003. Built across 100 hectares of former marshland and rice paddies in Ayutthaya Province, the course sits about an hour north of downtown Bangkok and just 30 minutes from Don Mueang Airport.
The scale here is the whole point. The greens are among the largest and fastest in Asia, planted with Champion ultra-dwarf Bermuda grass and demanding real skill in reading and lag putting just to two-putt comfortably. Paspalum turf covers the hard, fast fairways, while the rough is thick and sticky enough to punish anything sprayed off-line. The signature opening hole is a dogleg right with water running the entire right side, and the finishing par-5 9th asks for a long drive just to clear a stream crossing the fairway roughly 100 yards from the green.
The clubhouse matches the ambition of the course: an ultra-modern elliptical building where no two walls run parallel, a heliport for arriving guests, and a rock waterfall cascading down the rear of the building into the course below. Floor-to-ceiling restaurant windows give a 360-degree view over the fairways. Both cart and caddie are compulsory here, and the Ayutthaya setting — Thailand's former capital, rich with UNESCO-listed temple ruins — makes this course an easy add-on to a cultural day trip.

Caddie required. A tip is separate unless your confirmed quotation explicitly includes it.
Tell us your preferred tee time, handicap range and any rental requirements. For a larger group, we can discuss consecutive tee times rather than assuming everyone can play in one flight.
Getting there
Your hotel location matters as much as the destination name. Share the exact pickup point so we can allow for city traffic and the time needed to warm up before your round.
