The playing experience
A course with several nines offers different combinations, so ask which routing is included in your quotation. The published yardage can refer to a particular pair of nines or tee selection. Confirm the planned 18 holes when booking, especially if you are returning and want to experience another combination.
Plantation opened in 2008 as Siam Country Club's second Pattaya property, built on land that once grew sugar cane, tapioca, and pineapple — a history the course honors by naming each of its three nines after the crop that once grew there: Tapioca, Pineapple, and Sugar Cane. Designers Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley routed all 27 holes through rolling, ravine-cut terrain that rises to panoramic views of Pattaya Beach and the Gulf of Thailand, eleven kilometers away at its highest points.
The course wasted no time earning tournament credibility. Exactly one year after opening, it hosted the 2009 LPGA Thailand — won by then-world-number-one Lorena Ochoa — and went on to host the 2015 Thailand Open. Golfers who've played both note Plantation demands more from tee to green than its sister Old Course: longer carries, blind shots into elevated greens, and bunkers cut deep enough to swallow a mis-hit whole.
The Tapioca and Pineapple nines share a genuine rarity — Asia's first triple green, a single 20,000-square-foot putting surface divided into three sections that serves three different holes. It's the kind of feature golfers talk about long after the round ends.

Tell us your preferred tee time, handicap range and any rental requirements. For a larger group, we can discuss consecutive tee times rather than assuming everyone can play in one flight.
