Plan a landing area, not just a distance. Where water influences the line of play, a shorter club and a clear target can be more useful than chasing every extra yard. Keep a comfortable carry in mind when choosing tees, and discuss the safest approach with your caddie before committing to the shot.
Riverdale Golf Club opened in 2010 in Bang Kadi, Pathum Thani, about 30 minutes north of downtown Bangkok and directly alongside Bangkok Golf Club — the two share the MBK Golf group along with Red Mountain and Loch Palm in Phuket. Riverdale was designed by Jonathan Morrow and Al Tikkanen, the same pairing responsible for Red Mountain, and they used the same core trick here that made that course famous: large lakes were dredged specifically to create the hills that now frame Riverdale's fairways.
It's a genuine departure from Bangkok's usual flat terrain — “up hill and down dale” golf, as the club itself describes it, rarely seen this close to the capital. Beyond the perimeter there's not much scenery to speak of, mostly factories and small villages, but once you're inside the ropes the immaculately groomed fairways, raised greens, and large hills quickly take over the experience.
The par-5 6th, at 623 yards, is the longest and toughest hole on the card. The par-3 8th is the more memorable one: golfers choose between the Upper Green, set on an uphill slope guarded by a deep bunker, or the Island Green, surrounded entirely by water. Riverdale has been nominated for Thailand's best golf course three years running by the World Golf Awards.

Before you play
Caddie required. A tip is separate unless your confirmed quotation explicitly includes it.
Tell us your preferred tee time, handicap range and any rental requirements. For a larger group, we can discuss consecutive tee times rather than assuming everyone can play in one flight.
Getting there
Your hotel location matters as much as the destination name. Share the exact pickup point so we can allow for city traffic and the time needed to warm up before your round.
