Plan a landing area, not just a distance. Where water influences the line of play, a shorter club and a clear target can be more useful than chasing every extra yard. Keep a comfortable carry in mind when choosing tees, and discuss the safest approach with your caddie before committing to the shot.
Muang Kaew Golf opened in 1992 and holds a genuine distinction among Bangkok courses: it's the closest one to both the city centre and Suvarnabhumi Airport, just 20 minutes from either. In 2003, Schmidt-Curley Design — the American firm behind several of Thailand's top layouts — reworked the course, adding tournament-speed Tiff-Eagle greens and Paspalum fairways that hold up well year-round.
What the redesign is best known for, though, is the greens themselves. Many are elevated with large side catchment areas that collect anything short or wide of the target — a design detail that's genuinely rare on Bangkok's mostly flat golf courses. Wide fairways give some breathing room off the tee, but approach shots into these well-guarded, elevated greens demand real precision. The back nine builds toward a risk-reward par-5 13th, and the course's convenient location does come with one quirk: the main highway passes directly beneath the 16th hole.
Muang Kaew is a semi-private club, so advance booking is required, and it's busiest on weekends — weekday visits tend to move faster and more comfortably. The clubhouse restaurant is well regarded for its Western food, and the caddies are considered among the most attentive in the city.

Before you play
Caddie required. A tip is separate unless your confirmed quotation explicitly includes it.
Tell us your preferred tee time, handicap range and any rental requirements. For a larger group, we can discuss consecutive tee times rather than assuming everyone can play in one flight.
Getting there
Your hotel location matters as much as the destination name. Share the exact pickup point so we can allow for city traffic and the time needed to warm up before your round.
